[Mr. Masayuki Yamada's Profile]
1938I was born in 1990. At the same time as opposing nuclear power plants from the standpoint of citizens for more than 40 years, he has been active in various activities such as opposition to the construction of an airport in Ishigaki Island Shiraho, Okinawa Prefecture, support for homeless people, support for people living in temporary housing in Kobe, support for children in Smoky Mountain in the Philippines, planting trees in Inner Mongolia, and supporting Iraq, Palestine and Gaza.
We continue to tell the whole country that renewable energy, which is currently being promoted as an alternative to nuclear power plants, is a problem that each and every one of us should stop and think about in a large flow. He has written many books including "Mr. Yamada's One NGO" and "What I Could Do as a Just A Housewife."

Whose water is it?
Essential water for all living things on earth. However, only 0.01% of the water on Earth is available to humans. While water use is increasing as the population increases and economic development increases, water resources continue to decline rapidly due to abnormal weather, environmental destruction, and urbanization. We in Japan think it is natural for water to come out if we turn on the faucet, but there are 1.2 billion people in the world who cannot use safe water. In addition, in the globalization of the economy, the trend of privatization and commercialization of water by companies is progressing.
Residents of Manila and Jakarta facing the privatization of water utilities, rural families in Rural China who have been outsealing a week with just 200 liters of water due to chronic water shortages, and people in Querara, India, who have stood up against groundwater pumping by Coca-Cola. And we in Japan indirectly import large amounts of water by importing agricultural products and industrial products from China and other countries. Whose water is it?
We will consider water as a right for all people to live, and water as a "public good" on a global scale.
